Raise The Standards
Creating a platform for supporter updates and fundraising.
Raise the Standards fights for the forgotten dogs of Eastern Europe — those suffering in overcrowded shelters and on the streets. The organisation supports neutering programmes, works with veterinarians and local partners to improve shelter care, and advocates for stronger animal welfare protections.
The starting point
The organisation had no newsletter to keep members informed or support fundraising. Beyond social media, it needed a more personal engagement with members and supporters to share its work, explain the needs behind its appeals and give supporters opportunities to contribute.
VOX contribution
We created the organisation’s digital newsletter, developing the design, reusable template and content. This established a format for bringing project updates and fundraising messages together in a consistent communication to members and supporters.
We also created a blog page on the existing website and uploaded content, giving the organisation a dedicated space to publish stories and updates. Together, the newsletter and blog provided complementary channels for keeping supporters informed and engaged with its work.
The difference it has made
Raise the Standards now has a digital newsletter and a blog to share its activities and fundraising needs. The reusable template provides a foundation for future communications, while the blog gives supporters a place to explore the organisation’s work in more detail.

FEDECRAIL
Strengthening communications across Europe’s heritage railway community.
FEDECRAIL represents heritage railways and tramways across Europe. Our communications work supports its role in sharing knowledge, representing the sector and helping members understand and participate in its activities.
The starting point
The aim was to improve communication with member organisations and external stakeholders, while strengthening the Federation’s visibility across Europe as the voice of heritage rail. FEDECRAIL brings together advocacy, technical and operational expertise, and experience from member organisations across Europe. The challenge was to make this work more visible and accessible to members.
VOX’s contribution
We replaced an outdated PDF newsletter with a digital format, making member communications more accessible, especially on mobile devices.
A key part of our contribution has been turning working-group discussions and presentations into resources that members can use beyond the original event. We structured and edited the material, designed the publications and developed supporting content for the website, newsletter and social media.
We also developed social media content, press releases, thought leadership and membership messaging. Across these channels, we explained the relevance of FEDECRAIL’s activities and gave members clear opportunities to contribute, participate and share their own experience.
The difference it has made
FEDECRAIL now has a more connected approach to member communications. We developed a member resource library, extending the value of the Working Group webinar beyond those who attended. This work provides a more consistent way to communicate FEDECRAIL’s activities and demonstrate the practical value of membership across its European community.

Stepwise Global Foundation
Presenting a sustainability framework to a wider audience.
Stepwise Global Foundation is home to the Framework for Strategic Sustainable Development (FSSD). My work has focused on developing website content and structure to introduce the foundation and its framework to a wider audience.
The starting point
The website needed to bring together the foundation’s purpose, the framework’s scientific foundations and its practical application. The challenge was to give new visitors a clear introduction while preserving the accuracy of the technical content.
Our contribution
We restructured the entire website, transforming a dense, academically focused presentation into an engaging journey for organisations seeking practical sustainability support. I translated complex technical information into accessible content, reshaped the navigation and developed a clear progression from understanding the framework to exploring its application and the services available.
The work involved communicating a sustainability framework with substantial scientific credibility and a distinguished Swedish heritage. Developed through Professor Karl-Henrik Robèrt’s work, its origins lie in The Natural Step initiative, whose founding scientific consensus report received the endorsement of King Carl XVI Gustaf.
My role was to bring that expertise to a wider audience while preserving its integrity. We developed the website’s messaging, content structure and presentation to explain the framework’s value, demonstrate its relevance and guide visitors towards training and professional support.
The difference it has made
The work has brought the foundation’s background, technical material and practical examples into a more coherent website structure. Visitors can be introduced to the organisation and its purpose before exploring the framework in greater depth.
The resulting content provides a foundation for the website’s development, with application stories and FAQs offering additional ways for people to engage with the subject.

ECHO Movement Sweden
Developing the communications of a survivor-led organisation
ECHO Movement Sweden works to end childhood sexual exploitation. My ongoing volunteer work with the organisation spans advocacy content, digital communications, marketing materials and coaching.
The starting point
I responded to an advertisement seeking volunteers to help with communications, particularly social media, advocacy articles and thought leadership.
ECHO already had a strong Instagram presence, but lacked clear messages and a content plan to guide its wider communications. Its website also needed a refresh. There was an opportunity to develop LinkedIn as a channel for reaching professional audiences with its advocacy and expertise.
My contribution
I began by providing guidance on ECHO’s website and logo, helping the team consider how the organisation presented its identity and work.
I then developed its LinkedIn company profile and worked on advocacy articles and social media content. This involved helping ECHO articulate its positions while keeping its voice and survivor-led perspective central to the communications.
To support regular contact with supporters, I set up a digital newsletter template and continue to assist with distribution.
Coaching and guidance have been an ongoing part of the collaboration, helping the team make decisions about messaging, content and channels.
The difference it has made
The collaboration has helped ECHO develop greater confidence in its messaging and publish more consistently. Its communications have a clearer focus on engaging other child protection organisations, political figures and the media.
ECHO also has practical materials it can continue using, including its newsletter template and event designs, alongside ongoing support with content and distribution.
